Bhopal: The Cabinet has decided to introduce the Yuva Swabhiman Yojana in the state. This decision was taken with the purpose of making the youth of the state self-reliant in the time to come and to give them professional skill training. Under the scheme, urban youth have been given 100 days employment guarantee in a year. The benefit of the scheme can be taken by such urban youth in 21-30 age group whose income is maximum Rs 2 lakh annually. Rs 4 thousand per month stipend will be provided to the youth. The process of registration for this scheme will begin from February 10 in urban bodies. Six lakh 50 thousand youth of the state will be trained under the scheme. A financial burden of Rs 750 crore will be incurred in the implementation of the scheme.

The Cabinet approved a hike of Rs 600 from Rs 300-500 as per eligible beneficiary under Government of India schemes including Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension, Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension, Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme etc.

The Cabinet has hiked the pension of beneficiaries including elderly citizens, disabled, destitutes, widows, unmarried women, kanya guardians, all inmates of old age homes under state government’s Integrated Social Security Pension Scheme from Rs.300-500 to Rs 600 per month per beneficiary according to their eligibility. About 40 lakh 37 thousand 553 elderly citizens, unmarried women, destitute and disabled beneficiaries of the state will avail the benefits.

Similarly, the Cabinet approved Rs 600 per month per beneficiary as per eligibility for mentally retarded, people with multiple disabilities, cerebral palsy patients, autism cases of more than 6 years of age. The Cabinet approved the creation of four posts of technical level for the establishment of a strong IT cell for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission.

The Cabinet decided to amend the provisions related to the Commercial Tax Department for the implementation of the Tourism Policy 2016. For promoting tourism in the state and investing in tourism sector, maximum number of private investors is being encouraged to set up tourism projects. World-class facilities will be provided to attract foreign tourists in the state and provide them with excellent services. With this purpose conditions in bar licenses have been rationalized. This will increase the revenue in tourism with facilities.
