Bhopal: Greeting women of all sections on International Woman’s Day, Woman and Child Development Minister Imarti Devi said that we will not be able achieve our goals by celebrating Women’s Day only on one day. We have to work towards women empowerment continuously. She said that all of us should make efforts in business establishments at the personal level, offices at social level and in schools-colleges and anganwadi kendras in the interest of women which will prove to be beneficial in the long run.
Minister Imarti Devi said that there is struggle in every field where women moves ahead. She told women that we must not fail, but move forward. The current social scenario is changing. The participation of women in all areas is increasing remarkably. Imarti Devi said that now there is a need to bring changes in the thinking of the common people. She said that change in their position in society and thinking is true empowerment.
Woman and Child Development Minister Imarti Devi said that the safety of women as per Chief Minister Kamal Nath is the topmost priority and the biggest challenge also. She said that very soon we are going to begin a Women’s Helpline number-181. This will enable women to register their complaints besides ensuring legal assistance, shelter, medical protection and such other essential facilities.
