Bhopal: After six MLAs returned from Delhi and those staying in Bengaluru claimed they were not abducted by the BJP, war of words started between BJP and Congress leaders. Higher Education Minister Jitu Patwari who led the operation rescue of the MLAs on Thursday in Delhi, took a U-turn saying senior leaders and the MLAs collectively exposed the BJP and Chief Minister Kamal Nath had this in his knowledge and was in touch with the ‘missing’ MLAs all the time.
He stated that Congress never said that MLAs were abducted. While talking to media persons on Thursday, Patwari wished happy birthday to Shivraj Singh Chouhan praying almighty to offer him sadbuddhi (wisdom). “Each person has a Ram and Ravan within himself and I request Shivraj ji to become Ram,” Patwari said blaming the former CM for horse trading episode.
He added the four MLAs would also return soon and Congress would win two Rajya Sabha seats. In yet another important development post alleged horse trading episode, Kamal Nath minister Lakhan Singh Yadav hinted that cabinet expansion could take place shortly.
Meanwhile undeterred with BSP and SP MLAs denying any abduction and horse trading, Digvijay Singh on Thursday blamed five BJP leaders including Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Narottam Mishra for the entire incident saying its (horse trading) is their habit. Such attempts have taken place earlier also, he alleged.
Narottam Mishra replying to legal action threats from the Congress leaders dared them to take action against him. Claiming that there was a stampede in Congress camp, Mishra claimed it was all cooked up Digvijay Singh over Rajya Sabha nomination.
BJP state head VD Sharma alleged that the Congress was serving bundles of lies and asked DIgvijay Singh to apologise to BJP for defaming it. On the Congress claims of crackdown on mafia, Sharma claimed this government acts on one mafia and recovers money from remaining 99.
