Bhopal: During state-level orientation programme, training was imparted to quiz masters appointed to conduct tourism quiz competition to be held on July 23. All necessary preparations are being made for smooth conduct of quiz competition simultaneously in all districts of the state. Nodal officers have been appointed in all districts. The competition is being with cooperation of District Tourism Promotion Councils, School Education Department and district administration. MD of State Tourism Development Corporation Hari Ranjan Rao informed trainees regarding necessary directives-guidelines. He informed that this novel quiz is being held to increase interest and knowledge of students towards tourism and historic heritages.
Rao informed that the quiz being held for the fist time is evoking encouraging response. Welcoming quiz masters from all districts of the state, he said that their participation will definitely ensure competition’s success. Necessary feedback regarding competition will also be taken.
Additional MD Tanvi Sundrial said that the competition is multi-purpose, through which information about students and their families will be disseminated in a planned manner. She expressed pleasure over participation of teachers.
Executive Director PP Singh informed that posters and other publicity material have been made available for widespread publicity of the competition. Question papers will be separate for different districts. Through a competition, a useful question bank on tourism will be compiled which would be useful in future also.
During orientation programme, training was imparted by Ravikant Thakur and Upendra Yadav. Trainees were informed about all points of competition through a very interesting presentation. Executive Director OV Choudhary and General Manager Suhail Qadir were also present on the occasion.
