Bhopal: The Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Jeetu Patwari said that the players of international and national level of the state, who wish to run their private academies and sports training centres will be made available the sports grounds and complexes of government or private institutions at nominal charges. In addition to this, the Sports Department will also provide assistance and resources, if they need any help in construction work and purchase of equipments, he added.

Minister Patwari further said that help of private and public sector and the cooperation of public and social organisations is essential in promoting sports. Under this now, sports infrastructure of international level will also be built and developed in the PPP mode. Land has been earmarked in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior under the PPP scheme. Under the first phase, a sports complex of international level will be constructed on 15 acre land in Rau of Indore. Similarly, in the second phase, construction of a cricket stadium of international level and sports complex on 50 acre land in Gwalior is proposed.

Besides, Patwari stated that a medical and accident insurance scheme has been started for all such players of the state, who are representing state in recognised national sports competitions. This facility will be given to the players of all age groups. Under the scheme, registration of the players will be done every year with the cooperation of recognised sports federations.
