Ujjain: Simhastha-2016 has not only become a Mahakumbh of religious rituals, but also social concerns. Along with religion and spiritualism, resolve among devotees is also being witnessed for environmental conservation, sanitation, stopping female foeticide, Beti Bachao and keep Kshipra clean. All these social concerns of top priority of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have been given religious sanctity among society since they have been endorsed by saints and seers. This is helping in addressing social concerns.
This Simhastha is more unique and novel than previous ones in dissemination of message to preserve human values to the world. In their religious discourses Juna Peethadheeshwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj and Parmarth Niketan’s Chairman spiritual Guru Swami Chidanand Saraswati are advising their disciples and followers to ensure conservation of nature and environment and use toilets instead of open defecation.
Apart from this message by religious Gurus in discourses, hoardings carrying this message are also visible at several spots in Mela area. Some hoardings are also displaying Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s most revolutionary sanitation drive ‘Swachchh Bharat-Ek Qadam Swachchhata Ki Or’.
A hoarding carries message urging society to join hands with government for conservation of rivers ‘Kitni Pawan Hain Ye Nadiyan-Chahe Ganga Ho Ya Kshipra’. Another hoarding advises devotees to use toilets and not to defecate in the open. Besides, about 1.50 lakh saplings will be planted by Parmarth Niketan on Kshipra banks, which will be a great boon for future generations.
Lord Shani’s devotee Dati Maharaj has given a clarion call to save daughters during Simhastha. Dati Maharaj’s hoardings gives save daughter message and motivating people for this in entire Mela area.
