Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan and dedicated development works worth Rs 12.83 crore at Barhi of district Katni. Chouhan dedicated community health center costing Rs 2.44 crore and Dr Baba Sahab Ambedkar Mangal Bhavan worth Rs 41.80 lakh at Barhi. Moreover, Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan for ITI building, construction of hostel for girls and boys students and construction of principal’s residence costing Rs 9.96 crore. Chouhan said that Vijayraghavgarh vidhansabha area will not be left behind in the race of development. Welfare will be done for very section of the society. We will go in the midst of public, will understand their problem and will redress it. We will make poor owner of the land for construction of houses. Total 8 lakh houses in rural areas and 5 lakh houses in urban areas will be built for poor in the next two years. He said that amount will be provided for repair of damaged bridge at Barhi Mahanadi.

Minister for SC, ST Welfare and District Incharge Gyan Singh, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Industries (Independent Charge), Higher Education and Disabled Welfare Sanjay Pathak, Jila Panchayat President Mamta Patel, Chairman Social Welfare Board Padma Shukla and other Public Representatives were present on the occasion.
