Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to ensure effective and concrete arrangements to tackle challenges pertaining to rainy season. Administration should be alive to situations of floods, prevention of seasonal diseases, relief and rehabilitation. The Chief Minister was addressing divisional commissioners and district collectors during Samadhan Online at Mantralaya here on Tuesday. The Chief Minister described as inhuman the incident of not providing services of Janani Express and 108 to a pregnant woman in Narsinghpur district and expressed grave concern over it. He apprised himself of reasons behind the incident and strict action taken against the erring persons. He was informed that after enquiry into the incident, erring persons have been terminated. The Chief Minister said that services like 108 and Janani Express must be kept ever ready. Negligence in this will not be tolerated. Effective arrangements for solving common people’s basic problems are part of good governance. Collectors’ performance will be assesses on the basic of these parameters.

He directed to hold mass programmes to distribute gas cylinders under Ujjwala Yojana and forest land rights certificates in transparent manner to avoid any irregularity. Special attention should be paid to timely payment of pension amounts and MNREGA wages. He sought suggestions from collectors regarding distance of bank branches in rural areas and delay in cases of forest villages etc and for making alternative arrangements.

Directing to send daily reports about follow up of Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan by middle of the month, he informed that CRs of officer will be written on the basis of works undertaken during the Abhiyan. Earlier, the Chief Minister apprised himself of complaints registered under Samadhan Online. He expressed concern over non-disposal of complaints through public hearing and other arrangements. He directed to review as to how many complaints are being received from which districts. It should be examined whether complaints were redressed or not before their registration for Samadhan Online. Chouhan apprised himself of delay in distribution of incentive amount under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana to Sehore’s resident Shailendra. On being informed about delay in distribution, he directed to solve problems causing delay. Bill of Rs 12.87 lakh for erecting tents has been paid to Neeraj Singh Rathore of Jhabua by Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. Information was given about payment of Rs 1,61,092 dues to retired teacher Khuman Singh of Hoshangabad’s government aided SNG Higher Secondary College, Dolaria. Application for time scale pay scale of retired sub-inspector ML Sharma of Guna has been rejected due to his being ineligible. Ashok had deposited amount for installation of a transformer in September 2015. When the work began, its cost escalated. On this, the Chief Minister said that the applicant has deposited amount on time. He has no role in delay. Therefore, escalated cost should not be realised from him. Similarly, information was given about payment of amount for toilet construction to Uday Ram of Ujjain, bonus amount against tendu patta collection to Ravindra Kumar Jaiswal of Anuppur and payment of wages to labourers of Forest Department in Bhopal district. Birth certificates are being provided after medical examination to Kumari Shilpi, Sania and Vidhushi of SOS Village, Bhopal. Bhopal Collector also informed about giving birth certificates in such other 73 cases within 10 days. On being informed about embezzlement of amount for Kapil Dhara well sanctioned to Ram Kinkar of Umaria district by society’s servant and subsequent delay in payment, the Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to requisition information about such embezzlement cases in cooperative societies from district collectors and review them.

Earlier, Chief Secretary Anthony DeSa suspended Shujalpur’s Naib Tehsildar with immediate effects in the case of not giving relief against death of Shajapur distirct’s Sita Ram’s son due to drowning in river saying that the death was caused by falling into a pit.
