Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that an awareness campaign for dental health and protection will be conducted in the state. Addressing first Inspectors Training Programme of Indian Dental Council here today, the Chief Minister stressed the need to pay attention to oral health. This leads to overall health. He said that government, society, Indian Dental Council and dentists should conduct a campaign to create awareness in this regard. Chouhan said that the state government is committed to expand health services. Seven new medical colleges are being opened in the state. He said that it would be considered to appoint minimum one dentist at primary health centres in future.
Council’s President Devendra Majumdar informed that Inspectors Training Programme is being held at Bhopal for the first time in the country. These inspectors will play significant role in raising dental education to global level. Programme’s Coordinator GD Agrawal proposed a vote of thanks. A memento was presented to the Chief Minister. Dental Inspectors from various states are participating in the training programme.
