Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated woman wrestler Sakshi Malik for winning a bronze medal in women wrestling competition in Rio Olympics. It may be mentioned that the Sakshi Malik has won the first medal in Rio Olympics for India. Chouhan said that it is a moment of pride for all of us. She has scripted a history by becoming the first woman wrestler from India to bag an Olympic medal.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Madhya Pradesh government will be happy to provide facilities as regard to training of Deepa Karmakar for the next Olympics if she wishes so. He also announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh to Sakshi Malik. During discussions with the media at his residence, Chouhan said that Karmakar is a unique player and it is first time in the history of the country that any woman athlete has achieved this distinction. She is very talented and we expect wonder from her.

Chouhan said that a reward of Rs 25 lakh will be given to Malik for clinching a bronze medal in wrestling competition for the country. She has made us all proud for her feat and has brought glory to the nation. Chouhan also extended his best wishes to the Badminton Player PV Sindhu to win a medal.
