Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Shaurya Smarak will become inspirational source for patriotism. People visiting this place will be introduced with the courage and valour of Indian soldiers and the citizens will feel pride. Feelings of patriotism, love towards country and conscientiousness will emerge. The Chief Minister inspected the Smarak campus, reviewed the arrangements of Smarak and gave directives here today. Chouhan was informed that the Shaurya Smarak is fully ready for dedication.

Chouhan further mentioned that this is the first Smarak built in the memory of martyrs in the country after the independence. At present there is a war memorial. This Smarak is built in memory of Martyrs’ valour. This Shaurya Smarak will let people feel that how our soldiers protect our boundaries in difficult situations.

Notably, efforts are made to amass valour and courage at the Shaurya Smarak. Pictures of wars from ancient time to modern period have been exhibited. Seventy photographs of wars after independence have been displayed at the Shaurya Smarak. Visitors will feel difficult situation of Siachen. Photographs of Supreme Commander of Defense Forces President of India and Chiefs of three forces are also displayed at the Smarak. Poems full of valour and courage are also engraved at the Samarak. Beside all this Shaurya Smarak has 60 seater theatre where short films on valour will be shown.

Moreover, efforts are made to make realize concept of life, death and life after death. Scenes are being organised with the sound of war. Concept of shaurya stambh is based on victory over death. Red spot down below the pillar symbolizes blood. White, at the top exhibits life. Moreover, names of martyrs are inscribed at the back of the Stambh. Flame at the Shaurya Stambh will be illuminated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Shaurya Smarak will be dedicated by PM Narendra Modi on October 14.
