Rewa: Public Relations and Energy Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that Rewa’s Beehar river will be developed like London’s Tames river. PR Minister Shukla was addressing a function to launch beautification of collectorate building and Bhumi Poojan of bypass road at Rewa today. Shukla said that banks of Beehar river from Tourism Park upto Pachmatha will be beautified. Retaining walls will be constructed. Pathways for walk, lawns and chairs will be installed. The Minister directed to join old and new buildings of collectorate, construction of new boundary wall in old building and develop parks on the premises. Mayor Mamta Gupta also spoke on the occasion. A number of other public representatives were also present on the occasion.

Shukla said that Basavan Mama Cow-Sanctuary will be developed on the lines of Shajapur Cow-Sanctuary. He said that land for the sanctuary will be made available jointly by Forest and Revenue departments. Mandi Board will provide Rs 2 crore for construction of infrastructure. Shukla was discussing construction of the sanctuary with officers at Rewa today.

Shukla inspected Kothi Compound area and Shiv Mandir premises and took stock of arrangements. Agreeing with local citizens’ suggestion, Shukla directed for construction of drains and arrangements for light and sanitation at the earliest.
