Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Rani Kamlapati Palace will be renovated and beautified. Statue of Rani Kamlapati will be installed at Bhopal. Chouhan was performing Bhumi Poojan of Rani Kamlapati arch bridge here today. He also went round Rani Kamlapati Palace. The Chief Minister said that Bhopal will be developed as heritage city. Its archaeological sites will be beautified. This ancient history and technique should be brought before the world. All lakes of Bhopal will be beautified. He urged people to cooperate in keeping lakes clean. He said that development in the state is being ensured with human sensitivities.
Local MLA Surendranath Singh said that construction of the over bridge will make traffic convenient. Mayor Alok Sharma said in the welcome address that the arch bridge will be constructed at a cost of Rs 39.80 crore. It will lessen pressure of traffic in the area. The Chief Minister also released a folder focusing on Rani Kamlapati.
Former CM Kailash Joshi, BDA Chairman Om Yadav, MLAs Vishwas Sarang, Rameshwar Sharma, Leader of Opposition in Municipal Corporation Mohammad Sagheer, former Mayor Krishna Gaur, other public representatives and members of Mayor-in-Council were also present on the occasion.
