Bhopal: The police on Saturday arrested a Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Hanumanganj in Bhopal for allegedly inciting violence that broke out during the nationwide strike by Dalits on April 2. The police had earlier announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information leading to Gajraj Jatavs arrest. The police also arrested four people in Gwalior on charges of inciting violence through social media posts. A case was registered against them under the Information Technology Act.

Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Makrand Deuskar told media persons, Several organisations and people had been given money to incite violence in Bhind and Morena. Deuskar further said that the evidences received so far indicate that the violence in Bhind and Morena were funded. Several organisations and people had been given money to incite violence.
