Bhopal: Governor Anandiben Patel said that people must adopt yoga in their daily life and tell others about its importance. She was addressing the Yogabhyas programme held at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of International Day of Yaga. She mentioned that Yoga is such an activity which establishes positive harmony between body, mind and soul. It builds positive outlook to observe and understand the world. Patel further asserted that if people of all ages of the country include yoga in their daily routine then nobody can stop the country from its constant progress through energetic works of healthy minds.

Besides, the Governor said that Yoga teaches us to acquire mental peace and art to live life in this era of competition and mental stress. She informed that the International Day of Yoga has been granted recognition by the United Nations by the efforts of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Thus the entire world has been introduced by its advantages. Patel said that the demand of yoga trainers is increased in the entire world after yoga is recognized by the United Nations. New employment opportunities have emerged in the field of yoga. Regular yoga practice is must for youth to face future challenges. It gives mental, physical and ideological strength and builds concentration, she added.

Secretary to the Governor Manohar Dubey along with the officers and employees of the Raj Bhavan and security personnel planted more than 100 saplings on this occasion and took responsibility for their care. Men and women of all ages practiced various Yogasan and Pranayam under the guidance of the Yoga Guru Rajeev Jain during the programme.

At the beginning of the programme, Yoga message of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush Shripad Yesso Naik was relayed. Prayer, meditation and shanti paath were held. The Yoga Guru presented a Marathi edition of his Yoga book to the Governor on this occasion. Former Minister Deepak Joshi and eminent citizens in large number were present at the programme.
