Indore: No clue was received about the whereabouts of a local woman Congress leader, who has been missing for last 17 days from this commercial capital. Town Congress Secretary Twinkle Dagre (21) resident of Banganga went out from his residence on October 16 morning but did not return since then. A missing report was registered by her kin on October 18. Sub-Inspector Meena Borasi, who is conducting the investigation, said raids were conducted in eight places including state capital Bhopal, Jhabua and Badnawar thus far. Dagre’s cellular phone was switched off after about one-and-half hours after she went out from her house. As many as 50 people, including two dozen local leaders of the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), were interrogated on the basis of the call records.

On the other hand, the family members accused the police of sluggishness in conducting the probe. Twinkle defected to Congress from the BJP in August this year. She was also dealing with a disputed property issue and was receiving threat calls, the sources said.

Meanwhile, a man has fatally knifed his seven-month-old pregnant wife following a dispute in the Dwarkapuri area here, police said. Sonu Patidar attacked Roshni (25) with knife late last night. She was rushed to District Hospital where she died during treatment. The couple had love marriage two years ago but in recent time they used to quarrel frequently over some issues. Patidar fled after committing the crime.
