Bhopal: Company of Government of India, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIP) will carry out mining survey in Madhya Pradesh. Today, in presence of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, MoUs were signed between the companies and State Mining Development Corporation. Chairman of State Mining Development Corporation Shiv Chobey and vice chairman Giriraj Kishore were present there. The Chief Minister said that mining sector in the state has huge potential. Survey is necessary to increase availability of minerals and identification of possible mining areas.

It was informed that the survey will be conducted with the advice of State Mineral Development Corporation and Directorate, mining. NMDC and MOIL will bear expenditure of the survey and finding out. Rs 250 crore would be spent on survey by the companies. Joint companies will be formed on certification of mineral availability. It will be 51 per cent share of NMDC and MOIL and rest 49 will be capital of State Mineral Development Corporation.

Mining Secretary Manohar Dubey and director Vinit Austin signed MoU on behalf of State Mineral Development Corporation and Director of NMDC PK Satpathi and director of MOIL TK Patnaik.
