Bhopal: Namami Devi Narmade Sub Yatra of Bhopal District will join main yatra at Narmada Ghat-Budni on March 24. Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development and District In Charge Bhopal Gopal Bhargava will lead the sub-yatra. Bhargava informed that Narmada River is a life line of the state. It has a big contribution in the development of Bhopal district. He further mentioned that yatra is being undertaken for conservation of Narmada river and environment in 16 districts situated on the banks of Narmada River. Sub-Yatras are being set out to generate awareness towards water and environment conservation in the districts located near river.

Bhargava said that cultural and religious programmes will be organised in all the gram panchayats and wards of the city. Narmada seva yatra will be publicized in each assembly constituency. Pledge will be administered by the public representatives for seva yatra. Moreover, he informed that constituency wise sub-yatras will be taken out which will proceed to join main yatra after gathering at 11 mile chouraha. About 15,000 people will take part in the yatra. This sub-yatra in the form of procession from Dusshera maidan Budni will join Namami Devi Narmademain yatra at Budni ghat.

Minister Bhargava issued directives to Collector Nishant Varvade, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Chhavi Bhardwaj and IG Bhopal Raman Singh regarding arrangement like traffic control, potable water etc. in a meeting held in this regard. Mayor Alok Sharma, Minister of State for Cooperatives (Independent Charge) Vishwas Sarang, MLAs Rameshwar Sharma, Vishnu Khatri and Vice President of Jan Abhiyan Parishad Pradeep Pandey were present in the meeting.
