Bhopal: Minister for Environment, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Antar Singh Arya honoured Shailendra Mishra composer of Narmada Song Narmada Maiyya Teri Jay-Jaykar on Monday. Arya presented him a reward of Rs 5,000 besides Shawl and Shrephal. Mishra was hounoured earlier by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the song based on cleanliness and conservation of Narmada River.

A short play focusing environment conservation was presented by the Delight Club before the Minister for Environment Antar Singh Arya. Appreciating the play, Singh said that this is a robust and praiseworthy effort to make a call for nature conservation. Hence, it will be included in Narmada Yatra. It may be mentioned that Delight Club is involved in the activities related to environment conservation, sanitation and de-addiction. President of the club Suraj Panikar, Rama Murty and Sunil Raj were present on the occasion.
