Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh is forging ahead in renewable energy sector. The installed capacity is expected to increase by five times in coming three years. It is currently 2567 MW. Addressing a business seminar of major Chinese companies and industries at the China’s industrial town Shenzhen on Friday, Chouhan informed Asia’s largest 135 MW solar power plant is operational at Neemuch while world’s largest 750 MW capacity of solar plant is coming up at Rewa. Chouhan said that in Madhya Pradesh agri-business and food processing areas, pharmaceuticals, automobile and textile handloom sectors also offer tremendous investment potential. Besides, electronics manufacturing, telecommunications, IT enabled solutions are also emerging areas.

A number of major companies based at Shenzhen showed interest in Madhya Pradesh. The delegation of Madhya Pradesh and Shenzhen province Government’s representatives had a meeting on trade and commerce related issues. Director of Asian Affairs Division of Shenzhen Yang Guiquian, Director, Global Cooperation Division, Shenzhen Lin Xiuhong, Deputy Director Investment Promotion Division and MP’s Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia were present.

The Chief Minister met as many as 15 companies and explained to them why Madhya Pradesh could be an ideal investment destiny. These companies include King Signal, which deals in signal interconnection products, test equipment manufacturing company Wanfuda, wireless coverage products and services Gren Tech, investment company Renqing, environmental protection equipment maker Maytec, communications equipments manufacturing company Lianzhou, Electronics company Konka, intellectual control solutions company Topband, investment company Juanuying, supply chain company Everrich, and digital telemedia company Jiuzhou, e-commerce company Hofan, electronics company Jing Quan Hua, real estate company Hongpa and communications equipment manufacturer Zhenhua. Chouhan received overwhelming response from them. The Chief Minister also visited the headquarters of renowned Huawei Technologies Company and met its top executives. This is Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and Services Company. It has overtaken Ericsson. The Chief Minister will return New Delhi in the night of June 25 and reach Bhopal in the morning of June 26.
