Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is a fast developing state. Growth rate of Madhya Pradesh is continuously in double digit since last 8 months. The growth rate is estimated to be 12.21 percent and per capita income is expected over Rs 72,000 this year. The agriculture growth rate is 20 per cent constantly during last 5 years. Chouhan was addressing the state level Independence Day Celebration programme at Motilal Nehru Stadium here on Tuesday. In his message to the citizens on the occasion of 70th anniversary of Independence, while remembering the freedom fighters Chouhan extended greetings to the citizens. He hoisted the National Flag and took salute from the Independence Day Parade.

Chouhan mentioned that the state government has taken a decision to make memorial in the memeory of revolutionaries. Shaurya Smarak has been constructed in the memory of soldiers who have sacrificed their lives protecting borders of the country. He further said that Samman Rashi of Rs one crore will be given to the family of Martyr Nayab Subedar Jagram Singh Tomar, resident of Morena who scarificed his life at the border. Government employment will also be given to one of his family member besides a plot or house.

Besides, Chouhan stated that India has a policy that we will not instigate anyone but if anyone instigate us then we will not spare them. He said that Strong India is progressing speedily in the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister has amazing competency to take decisions. He is prosperous with creative thoughts. India has earned respect in the entire world in his leadership and guidance. Every citizen should come forward for contribution to transform his thought of strong and prosperous India into ground reality. He urged the citizens to make the state a poverty free state.

The Chief Minister mentioned that mutual efforts of all are needed for fast development of the state. He called upon the citizens to spare at least 2 hours time in a month in any of the field in social work voluntarily.

Chouhan deliberating on GST said that the new tax reformed system will strengthen Madhya Pradesh economy. All the misconceptions regarding GST have been solved. He further mentioned that a decision to construct Chambal Express Way has been taken for the development of Chambal region. Chouhan said that the Prime Minister has given a mantra to build Terrorism Free India. Several remarkable works has been carried out in Madhya Pradesh in this regard. SIMI’s network has been destroyed. Dacoits have been eliminated. Chouhan congratulated I.G. Police Anshuman Yadav and SP Rajendra Hingankar for solving the problem of dacoits in Satna and Rewa area recently.
