Indore: Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj said that as a result of constant efforts Madhya Pradesh has become most favourite state for investment. She was addressing the concluding session of the Global Investors Summit-2016 at Indore today. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has informed that 2630 intention to invest worth Rs 5 lakh 62 Thousand 847 crore has been received in the summit. Around 4 thousand investors of 42 countries took part in this summit. Next Global Investors Summit will be held from February 16 and 17, 2019 at Indore, he added. Swaraj said that development has taken place in Madhya Pradesh due to better leadership and public focused policies.

The growth rate of the state is above 10 percent continuously. Programmes like Make in India, Digital India, Clan India, Start Up India, Stand Up India and Smart City have been launched in India to face challenges of 21st century. The world bank has termed Indian economy as the worlds most open economy. International Monetary Fund has termed Indian economy for the year 2016-17 as the fastest developing economy of the world. GST has been passed in 23 states. She mentioned that foreign direct investment worth Rs 55.5 million dollars has been received in India after the union government formation under the leadership of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi which is 53 percent higher than last year. E-Visa scheme has been launched by the Ministry of External Affairs. A Separate State Division has been formed to encourage foreign direct investment in the states. The Ministry for External Affairs will provide all possible assistance for foreign capital investment in Madhya Pradesh. She further said that 25 million non resident Indians are contributing towards development of India. Non Resident Indians day will be organized at Bengaluru on January 7, 2017 to facilitate discussion platform to NRIs.

Union Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu while calling the Chief Minister Chouhan as committed, dynamic and disciplined person said that Madhya Pradesh is developing fast in his leadership. Naidu further said that word Bimaru used for Madhya Pradesh is a word of past now. Madhya Pradesh has become Main Pradesh in the last 10 years. Availability of 18,900 megawatt electricity is a record. Now electricity availability for all the sectors is ensured. Madhya Pradesh is leading in agriculture sector.

New record of progress has set in the agriculture sector. Madhya Pradesh has become ideal state for investment. Urban infrastructure has been remarkably strengthened and the leadership of the chief minister is praiseworthy. He said that a concept of bottom up has been considered in schemes of urban areas of the center. For this reason 50 percent sum is being provided to the states. By eradicating project based concept, region development based concept has been adopted. He said to investors, come and invest in M.P. Red carpet is laid here in place of red tapism. Investors will get full assistance from the union government apart from the state government.

Expressing gratitude towards all the investors, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Investors are honourable partners in the development of Madhya Pradesh. He said this summit has become strong platform for business dialogues with the government. Thirty online proposals have been received during the summit and land will be allotted to them shortly. Chouhan informed that 2630 investors have given proposals worth Rs 5 lakh 62 thousand 847 crore in the summit. Our intention is clear. Hence, intention of investors surfaced.

Chouhan said that keeping in view the enthusiasm and positive point of view of the investment, the development of Madhya Pradesh is certain. He said that country is progressing in the leadership of the Prime Minister and Madhya Pradesh is ready to play its role. Chouhan further said that the Prime Ministers concept of Sabke Liye Awas will be fulfilled by Madhya Pradesh. He made an announcement as regard to fee of the talented students borne by the state. He said that fully skilled manpower is being prepared and the state government is committed to make Madhya Pradesh Healthy.

Chief Minister Chohan said that investment MoUs worth Rs 20,000 crore are signed by the Union Petroleum Ministry. Earlier Madhya Pradesh was only known for Bhopal Gas Tragedy, now it is known for better investment environment. He said that this investment caravan will expand and he will not let trust of investors be broken. Chouhan made several announcements in the interests of investors and industries.
