Indore: Questioned Congress party’s objections on him persistently raking up issue of terrorism in polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked if these are polls of the country or municipal elections. While addressing an election meeting in Indore on Sunday, the Prime Minister retorted to Congress allegations that he only talks about terrorism and nothing else in poll rallies in 2019. “They object why Modi talks about terrorism all the time,” he said asking if these are the polls of the country or of Indore Municipal Corporation.

In municipal polls, issues would be like poles, sanitation, pipelines, gardens, sewage lines and others but terrorism would be discussed when country goes to polls. Speaking on national security, the Prime Minister claimed terror attacks have stopped after 2014. “It was all power of your one vote,” said the PM when the crowd told him it was because of him.

He also alleged that the Congress does not want to discuss our defence policy. Continuing his assault on the Congress party, PM Modi alleged that due to faulty policies of the grand old party, terrorism and naxalism spread its wings and thousands were killed in the country. “However it’s a new India and we eliminate our enemies while entering their own den,” he added.

Speaking on safe atmosphere in the country, Modi drew an interesting example of Indian Premier League (IPL), previous government used to have cold feet while holding two events simultaneously and IPL had to be staged out of India in 2009 and 2013.

But you can see this time lok sabha elections are also underway and IPL is also going on. “Hindu festivals are also observed and Ramzan is also being observed peacefully together,” he added.
