Bhopal: Minister for Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Narottam Mishra inspected Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Communication situated at Maharana Pratap Nagar, Bhopal on Tuesday. He was informed about the status of the Universitys building coming up at Bishankhedi. Mishra directed to hold meeting of the management committee shortly to complete necessary proceedings. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Brijkishore Kuthiyala and Rector Lajpat Ahuja apprised Mishra about the academic activities of the University. Also information about journals and other publications published by the university was given on the occasion.

Minister Mishra conversed with the students of the electronic media department visiting their class room. He also apprised himself about the working procedure of different departments. Moreover, Mishra apprised himself about the activities of Computer Science, Journalism Management, Public Communication, New Media Technology, Public Relations and Advertisement, Publication, Communication Research, Training and Text Book Writing departments.

Mishra also inspected the Library of the university. He was apprised by the In charge of Library that books related to journalism and communication courses beside outstanding literature books are available for the students. Library also gets research papers and magazine regularly, he was informed.

Further, Mishra inspected the campus of the university. While describing the utility of large clock installed at the roof of the university, he highlighted to install it attractively. Mishra was told that students are not allowed to ride bikes without helmets in the university campus. Furthermore, Dr. Mishra apprised himself about the course being conducted for working women in the university. He also visited the class of department of communication research and apprised himself about the activities.
