Bhopal: Medical practitioners should follow new guideline issued by the Supreme Court in letter and spirit for qualitative reforms in family welfare programme. Minister for public health and family welfare Rustam Singh said it today in a state level workshop of family welfare programme. Deputy commissioner of union ministry of health and family welfare Dr SK Sikandar and his team gave special information for qualitative reforms in family welfare services and new guideline issued by the Supreme Court to chief medical and health officers, civil surgeon cum superintendent of hospitals, district health officer, chief sterilization service provider, district programme managers and divisional joint directors.

The health minister said that doctors should not make efforts to hide figures of diseases. Keep in touch with panch-sarpanch, panchayat secretary, asha workers and maintain good relations with them. It will help in getting prompt information about outbreak of any disease. Doctors should reach the spot with team members for treatment to at least 50 people. This will curb outbreak of disease at some level.

Singh asked district medical and health officers to call conference of panchayat secretaries and Asha workers in their respective district. Create awareness on the diseases with their support. Rural people should be informed about disposal of larvae and sideline effects of visiting disease effected locations.
