Bhopal: Woman and Child Development Minister Maya Singh has said that one excellent performer Shaurya Dal of every division will be felicitated. The award will carry Rs 11,000 each and would be conferred on International Women’s Day every year. Maya Singh was addressing state-level function of Shaurya Dal on the occasion of Rani Durgawati Balidan Diwas here on Friday. Maya Singh said that Shaurya Dal’s name will be written in golden letters for history of social reforms. She said that the works being undertaken by Shaurya Dals in villages are changing people’s mindset and curbing social evils and malpractices. Referring to Shaurya Dals’ role during Simhastha, she said that every member of Shaurya Dals is capable to face any challenge on the sport. She congratulated its members for working with dynamism and full energy during International Vaicharik Mahakumbh and Simhastha.
The Woman and Child Development Minister said that major challenges lie ahead for Shaurya Dals. They should face these challenges with firm determination and patience. Sensitiveness has to be created in society towards women and children. She said that members of Dals should regard Rani Durgawati as their ideal, who faced every challenge bravely and registered victory over it.
Principal Secretary Woman and Child Development JN Kansotiya said that Shaurya Dals should take the work of reducing maternal and infant mortality rate as challenge. They should pay special attention to SCs and STs since these sections need maximum awakening. Commissioner Integrated Child Development Scheme Pushplata Singh and Commissioner Women’s Empowerment Jaishri Kiyawat informed about departmental schemes. Sarika Sinha of Action Aid also spoke on the occasion.
The Woman and Child Development Minister felicitated excellent performer Shaurya Dals and officers and employees who played significant role in Dal’s constitution including Rachna Budholiya, Tinny Pandey and Deepak Sanket. Training guidance booklet and brochure for Shaurya Dal members were released. A film was screened and street play enacted focusing on Shaurya Dals’ role during Simhastha.
