Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that law will be enacted to provide land to the poor who are born in the State. Financial assistance will be provided to construct house. Chouhan was addressing the Antodaya Mela and Bridge Foundation programme at Phoop Nagar of district Bhind on Saturday. Chouhan said that a sum of Rs 1.20 lakh will be provided to the beneficiary to construct house under the Mukhyamantri Awas yojna. Also, an amount of Rs 12,000 is being given to construct toilet in the gram panchayat area to those families who have no facility of toilet at home. He informed that free uniforms and cycles are being provided to the students beside lap top on securing 85 per cent marks. Besides, smart phones have been given to the college students. All the arrangements to pursue studies in medical, engineering, IIT and IIM colleges will be made for students of poor families by the state government.

Chouhan started the campaign on the eve of Nagar Uday Abhiyan being organized from December 25. He said that this campaign will strengthen the basic facilities provided to the citizens and will be expanded. Chouhan administered pledge to the people to construct toilet in each house, not to discriminate between girl and boy child, to educate girls, to make village addiction free and to plant one sapling at least. He met disabled visiting their camp and informed about the facilities being provided to them.

Union Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Narendra Singh Tomar mentioned that the union and state government is committed for the welfare of the common man. He further mentioned that after the construction of bridge on Chambal River, the area will get convenient transit facility. He expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister Chouhan for this. He informed that amount to construct toilet is being deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries directly. Programme was also addressed by the Member of Parliament Bhagirath Prasad.

Several important announcements were made by the Chief Minister Chouhan for the development of district in the fair. He laid foundation stone of 24 new rural roads. Moreover, announcement of Nal-Jal yojna worth Rs 8 crore in Phoop nagar parishad was made by the CM Chouhan. He also assured to provide facility of 30 bed hospital. Chouhan distributed benefit worth Rs 36.55 crore to 40,736 beneficiaries in Antodaya Mela under Widow, Disabled, Old age persons, Kanya Abhibhavak Pension yojna, Disabled equipments, Cycle distribution, Niramay bima yojna, Rashtriya pariwar sahayta yojna, Sshram kalyan yojna, Mukhyamantri Swa-Rozgar yojna, Mukhyamantri Arthik Kalyan yojna, Mukhyamantri Yuva Udhyami Yojna, Mukhyamantri Awas Mission, Samajik Swachcha Bharat Mission yojna, Bhoo Dharak Praman Patra, BPL Card, Rashtriya Krashi Vikas yojna, Ladli Laxmi yojna and others.
