Bhopal: The initiative has been taken for international branding of Madhya Pradesh tourism. Madhya Pradesh tourism, second water festival at Hanuvantia and new tourism policy was promoted in World Travel Mart held in London recently. Madhya Pradesh stall was appreciated especially in the event. Broachers related with Madhya Pradesh tourism have been prepared in foreign languages also. Prabhatam Aviation Company has been issued letter of intent (LoI) for air taxi operation in the state. Next tourism conference will be held in Indore.
The information was given in review meeting of state Tourism Development Corporation. Chairing the meeting, corporation chairman Tapan Bhaumik asked to hold film directors’ seminar in Bhopal so that they can be informed about film related policy, locations and other facilities.
It was informed that Madhya Pradesh tourism will participate in film festival to be held from December 20 in Goa. Secretary, tourism Hariranjan Rao, additional managing director Tanvi Sundriyal and other officers were present in the meeting. It was informed that 96 different construction works had been completed by the corporation. Operators of 31 way-side amenities (WSA) were provided necessary information through a workshop. IT wing of the corporation is being strengthened. State Tourism Corporation has received one more prestigious award in Delhi.
Important projects, activities and schemes were reviewed in the meeting. Bhaumik said to ensure benefits of different training programmes to youths so that they can get job. It was informed that 30 youths will be imparted training for adventure tourism in Hanuvantia who will deliver services in water festival.
