Indore: Minister for Industry and Commerce Rajendra Shukla said that Indore is a main gate for investment in Madhya Pradesh. Industrialists are always willing to set industries at Indore and its surrounding areas. A favourable ambiance for investment has been created in other places of Madhya Pradesh also. Several facilities are being provided to the investors on priority by the state government. Made in MP has been started to fulfill the Make in India Mission of the Prime Minister. Minister Shukla was inaugurating the Industrial Engineering Expo-2017 at Indore on Friday. Mayor Malini Gour was present on the occasion.

Shukla further mentioned that proposals worth Rs 5 lakh crore were received during the GIS-2016, through these proposals more than 2500 industrialists have expressed their willingness to invest in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the state has land bank having 1.20 lakh hectare of land. Under this 40,000 hectare is developed land. In order to encourage investment in the state, attractive exemptions and sufficient facilities are being provided. Primarily, provision of special exemptions has been made for electricity, taxes and on infrastructure development in case of investment. Continuous efforts are being made to develop industrial area around Indore. Moreover, 1200 acre land is being developed for industrial area spending Rs 350 crore at Ahmedabad-Mumbai Road.

Besides, Shukla said that three revolutions hold important place for the progress of the country, state and society i.e. agriculture, tourism and industry. Special attention has been paid in the agriculture sector in the state. As a result Madhya Pradesh was conferred with Krishi Karman Award since last four years continuously. Agriculture irrigation area has become 40 lakh hectare from 7 lakh hectare by the constant efforts of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Moreover, 24 hours electricity is being provided to agriculture sector also beside houses and industries. Also excellent works have been undertaken in the tourism sector. Many fold increase has been registered in tourism sector during the last ten years by developing First Tiger Safari of the country in Rewa, development of tourist site Hanuvantiya Island at Khandwa, Khajuraho, Gwalior, Mandu like historical heritages. Continuous awards to the state in the tourism sector are the endorsement towards this.
