Bhopal: The State Cabinet here on Tuesday decided to set up a Horticulture college in Chhindwara district under Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University, Jabalpur of the state. Students will be given admission to the college starting from academic session 2019-20. The Cabinet granted permission to form a departmental scrutiny committee under Directorate Health Services while enforcing the arrangement for the contractual appointment of retired specialists and post-graduate medical officers according to the contractual appointment rules on Madhya Pradesh civil posts to fill up the vacancies of specialists under the Department of Public Health and Family Welfare. Approval was given to grant the right to grant final approval for contractual appointment of retired specialist and postgraduate medical officers to the Administrative Department.

The Cabinet decided to give administrative sanction of Rs 235.87 crore and Rs 135.39 crore respectively for the proposed Ghoghari and Wardha Group Water Supply schemes to be implemented by Madhya Pradesh Water Corporation in Betul district. On completion of the work of both these schemes, drinking water system through door-to-door tap connection will be available to total 255 villages of Betul district.

The Cabinet granted approval of 289 posts as per the proposal for upgradation/ establishment of 5 urban and 19 rural health institutions and permission for construction of building, equipments and furniture of their institutions. In this approval of 100-200 bedded District Hospital of Harda, 30-bedded community health centre Parasia, Chhindwara district’s 100-bedded civil hospital, upgradation of Manavar District Dhar and Samver district Indore 50-bedded Civil hospital in the urban area and 30-bedded new Civil Hospital in Jhoteshwar village of Narsinghpur district.

Similarly, in 19 rural areas of the state, primary health centres are to be set up in Hathaud, Indore district, 30-bedded community health centre in Nanpur of Alirajpur district, sub-health centre, Mangliya in Indore, Batlavadi district, Ujjain, Salsalai in Shajapur district, and Patehara in Rewa district, Kandwa Gadhoula in Sagar district, Subhashpura, Mudheri in Shivpuri district, Guari in Seoni district, Shahpura Dindori district, upgradation of primary health centre in Tulsipar Raisen district and new sub health centres are to be set up in Sirkamva in Harda district and Ramnagar Satna district, Palatwada, Sajapani, Bhainsadand and Marai of Chhindwada district.
