Bhopal: Chief Secretary Anthony DeSa has said that ‘Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan’ will be held in all districts in Madhya Pradesh from state to village level from April 14. The campaign is being implemented with the objectives of increasing social harmony and brotherhood, strengthening Panchayat Raj System and increase people’s participation in development schemes for villages, farmers’ welfare and Gram Panchayats. He said that arrangements will be made for intensive training and monitoring of implementation of the campaign being started from Ambedkar Jayanti April 14. DeSa was giving first orientation guidance to district collectors in this regard through video-conferencing from Mantralaya here on Friday.
It was informed at the meeting that meetings and seminars will also be held at district and village levels to pay respect to Ambedkar. From April 15 to May 23, Gram Sabhas will be held at Gram Panchayats where action will be taken on beneficiary-oriented schemes, agriculture action plan and Gram Panchayats’ development. From April 20 to May 22, applications received during Village Parliament will be disposed of at Gram Panchayat level. During the period, state level conventions of young entrepreneurs and women’s self-help groups will be held.
At Village Parliament to be held at Gram Panchayat level, government schemes will be publicized and 5-year development action plan will be chalked out. Gram Panchayats’ assets and eligibility for beneficiary-oriented schemes will be verified. Special work will also be undertaken on Samagra database and Aadhar registration. Disabled persons will be identified and provided necessary aides. CS said that special attention would be paid to revenue collection during the campaign.
Supervisory teams have been formed from district to cluster and zone levels for result-oriented conduct of the campaign. Special training camps will be held from April 5 to 7 at division level for effective conduct of the campaign. DeSa said that district collectors should decided about their districts’ priorities, local requirements under the campaign. Information about programmes pertaining to the campaign chalked out by Farmers Welfare & Agriculture Development, School Education, Water Resources, Women and Child Development and Health departments was also given during the video-conferencing.
CS informed commissioners and collectors that this ambitious campaign is multi-dimensional. In it, focus will be on better implementation of schemes and programmes to concretize concept of all-round development of villages.
