Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that Madhya Pradesh is now governed by the government, which believes in work not announcements .This government is working for the welfare of every section of the society since its first day.  Nath inaugurated ‘School Chalein Hum’ Abhiyan and blessed 700 newly-wed couples in a mass marriage programme in tribal dominated Jhabua district on Monday.

The Chief Minister said that the government is working speedily to fulfill its promises. This is the first government which has started working on the promises made to the people since the very first day. He further stated that by waiving loans upto Rs 2 lakh of the farmers, we have completed the biggest scheme of the state’s history in such condition when the treasury was left empty by the former government.

Nath mentioned that loan waiver of farmers is just a relief. We are working with an objective to bring prosperity in farmers’ life. He further added that employment to youth is also an important part of his priority. Employment of 100 days is being provided to urban youth through Yuva Swabhiman Yojana. We are constantly making efforts to encourage employment oriented investments and have achieved success in many fields. We will provide facilities to only those industries, which provide employment to 70 percent people at local level, he added.

Nath inaugurated the 2nd phase of Jai Kisan Fasal Wrin Maafi Yojana in Jhabua. He distributed loan waiver certificates to the farmers. It may be highlighted that crop loan worth Rs 49.87 crore of 6,930 farmers will be waived in 2nd phase. Crop loans worth Rs 212.50 crore of 46,419 farmers were waived under the first phase.

Nath said that in order to eradicate backwardness through education, it is our responsibility to ensure that every child must go to school. He said that we have to make Madhya Pradesh, a literate state. Education only brings progress in every one’s life. All arrangements have been made by the state government to create an educational atmosphere in the state. It is needed that teachers and sensible people of the society besides public representatives must get children enrolled in schools and encourage parents to send their children to school.

Inaugurating the campaign, Nath distributed 3,125 cycles to the children. He flagged off Prachar Rath of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
