Madhya Pradesh Film Tourism Policy-2020 was approved by the State Cabinet here on Wednesday. The salient features of the policy include- To make Madhya Pradesh a major attraction for filmmakers and encourage private investment. Skill development and employment generation through film making in the state. Promoting film shooting in Madhya Pradesh through financial grant for shooting of serials / TV show / web series / documentary. Special grant for more screen time for promotion of sites in Madhya Pradesh.Special financial incentives for internationally recognized and South Indian filmmakers.
Financial incentives / grants / land allocation on construction of infrastructure of permanent nature.
Facilitating permission and assistance for filmmakers within the time limit.
To provide services in units of MPSTDC at concessional rates.
Dedicated Film Facilitation Cell for the implementation of Film Policy.
Requisite coordination with the concerned departments for permission of filming through a single window system.
Promoting film industry in the state for Film City, Film Studio, Skill Development Center etc.
To promote the state by participating in various events related to the film.
Development of infrastructure such as housing and transport etc.
To make available infrastructure and services such as airplanes, helicopters, properties etc. owned by the State Government to the filmmakers as per the processes.
Promoting the rennovation of single screen cinema, closed cinema houses and upgrading existing cinema halls and encouraging the multiplexes and financial grants.
Land allocation under tourism policy for various film production projects like Film City, Film Studio, Post-Production Center, VFX Center, Skill Development Center, Film Institute and Training Institute, Incubation Center and other film related startup projects.
Scholarship to the students of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of Kolkata, National School of Drama, New Delhi and other equivalent reputed institutions.
Organizing various workshops on film related courses / subjects.
The applicants will have to give credit to the state government and the tourism department in the films produced by them for receiving the grant in Film Policy-2020. Also, the use of the “logo” of the tourism department / state government and the name of the location of the film shooting must be mentioned, which will lead to the promotion of Madhya Pradesh. Special financial provision for the films securing special branding of Madhya Pradesh.
