Bhopal: In the e-tendering scam, the Economic Offence Wing (EoW) on Thursday raided the office of an IT company in Bhopal and arrested three of its directors. The EoW had lodged an FIR against three IT companies including OSMO IT Solutions, Bhopal, some private companies and unknown officers and politicians in connection with the nine tenders which were quashed during the tenure of Shivraj Singh Chouhan government last year.

In this action, the EoW officers arrested three directors of OSMO IT Solutions which has its office in Mansarovar Complex in Bhopal. The company which primarily deals in digital signature certification is accused of helping out private companies get help in receiving tenders through r-procurement portal of the MP government.

Suggesting that the ambit of the scam presently believed to be of Rs 3,000 crore could be much wider, the EoW also has summoned details of the e-tenders floated post 2014. Sources claimed the number of tenders issued through this now dubious e-tendering process post 2014 could be around 3.5 lakh.

Then Managing Director of MP State Electronic Development Corporation Manish Rastogi has acted as whistleblower and had presented a report on anomalies took place in nine tenders which later were quashed by Chouhan government.

While talking to media persons, SP EOW Arun Mishra said that some IP addresses were recovered during the probe which were used to tamper with the e-tender thus they reached the company. We are trying to retrieve data from the hard disks seized at the firm, the SP added.

He also claimed details of tenders issued post year 2014 have been summoned for further probe. On being asked whether the scam could be a bigger one than just nine tenders, he responded in affirmative. “We had ample evidence to lodge the FIR,” said the cop.
