Bhopal: Minister for Commerce and Industry Rajendra Shukla said that efforts should be made to ensure more and more participation of domestic and foreign industrialists in the Global Investors Summit- 2016 to be scheduled at Indore on October 22 and 23. He further said that branding of summit should be done in a planned manner. Objective of the Summit should be achieved. He directed the officials to present specialties of Madhya Pradesh in an effective manner. He was reviewing the arrangements of summit at high level meeting. Principal Secretary Commerce and Industry Mohammad Suleman was also present in the meeting.

Minister Shukla told the officers to complete all the arrangements within stipulated time. Keep constant eyes on arrangements and make them proper. He said that officers who have been given responsibility must ensure completion of works on time. No apathy will be tolerated at all. Moreover, Shukla said that our objective is to make sure more and more numbers of investors participation in the summit. He apprised himself about the delegations coming from abroad. Shukla will visit Indore to monitor the arrangements of the summit on October 10.

It is informed in the meeting that 3000 participants will present in the summit including 500 foreign representatives. Japan, South Korea, UAE, Singapore and United Kingdom will participate as partner countries in the summit. Further, diplomats of various countries will also take part as regard to investment. Discussions in separate sessions will take place on textiles, automobiles and engineering, ESDM, pharmaceuticals, tourism, agri business and food processing, renewable energy and urban development sector. Subject experts will present their views on policy to increase export from Madhya Pradesh and Make in India.

Exhibition will be organized at summit to inform about industrial friendly investment policy of Madhya Pradesh, resources of Madhya Pradesh and good governance. Union Minister for Finance Arun Jaitley will participate in inaugural session. Besides him several union ministers will also take part during the summit.
