Bhopal: The state government has directed for effective implementation of M-Shiksha Mitra mobile app for staff working in government schools and departmental offices. Through the app, users are being informed about services of School Education Department, information, payslips, complaint redressal, directives, training programmes, SMS facility, applications for leave, daily attendance etc. So far, over 61,000 officers, employees and teachers are using the app. Suggestions received regarding this have been included in the new version of the app, which is more useful. From new academic session, effective use of mobile app will be mandatory. Number of officers, employees and teachers in School Education Department is 3.94 lakh. Of these, 3.31 lakh officers, employees and teachers have mobile phones. They mobile phone numbers have been registered.

The government has assigned responsibility to update mobile numbers of teachers and other staff on Education Portal to District Education Officers and Drawing and Disbursing Officers. They have been directed to complete this process by May 31. Deadline of June 10 for downloading of M-Shiksha Mitra mobile app from Google Playstore has been fixed for officers, employees and teachers.

The government has directed all DEOs to apprise all teaching and non-teaching staff of benefits of mobile app and motivate them to download it. DDOs will also ensure updation of mobile numbers of their subordinate staff on the portal.
