Bhopal: A sum of Rs 1957 crore has been deposited as a drought relief in the bank accounts of the farmers through co-operative banks in 32 districts of the State. The Minister of State for Co-Operatives (Independent charge) Vishwas Sarang has informed in this regard. Vishwas Sarang also informed that a sum of Rs 1975.76 crore has been provided by the State Government to the State Co-operative banks and societies for the affected farmers and a sum of Rs 1957.15 crore has been distributed. Also, distribution work has been carried out on war footing.

It is to be noted that Rs 22.65 crore in Katni, Rs 21 lakh in Balaghat, Rs 64.65 crore in Seoni, Rs 14 crore in Narsinghpur, Rs 130.36 crore in Sagar, Rs 119.65 crore in Damoh, Rs 49.86 crores in Panna, Rs 115.18 crores in Chhatarpur have been deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers. Also, Rs 44.64 crores in Tikamgarh, Rs 37.76 crores in Rewa, Rs 115.92 crores in Satna, Rs 89 lakhs in Sidhi, Rs 35.75 crores in Jhabua, Rs 35.78 crores in Alirajpur, Rs 55.48 crores in in Khargone, Rs 10.99 crores in Ujjain, Rs 102 crores in Neemuch, Rs 221.07 crores in Dewas, Rs 187.96 crores in Shajapuri, Rs 108.46 crores in in Agar- Malwa, Rs 45 lakhs in Gwalior, Rs 54.51 crores in Shivpuri, Rs 29.27 crores in Guna, Rs 83 lakhs in Ashoknagar, Rs 8.70 crores in Morena, Rs 74.91 crores in Bhopal, Rs 13.54 crores in Sehore, Rs 24.28 crores in Raisen, 263.88 crores in Vidisha, Rs 12.09 crores in Rajgarh, Rs 1.37 crore in Betul and Rs 9 lakhs in Hoshangabad have been deposited in the bank accounts of the affected farmers.

Instructions as regard to immediate distribution of the balance of the relief amount of Rs 18.28 crores have been given by Vishwas Sarang to the officials, which is pending due to various reasons.
