Bhopal: Dastak teams visited from door-to-door in 44,085 villages and conducted health examination of total 53.54 lakh children under the Dastak Abhiyan in the state. In the campaign that began on June 10, 99 percent villages have been covered so far. The campaign will continue till July 20.
State Nodal Officer Pragya Tiwari said that during the health check of children under the Dastak Abhiyan, 61,014 children were diagnosed with diarrhoea, 27,880 children with anaemia and 6,474 children were suffering from sepsis. Blood transfusion was performed on 2,205 anaemic children As many as 6,618 children out of sepsis (malnourished) affected children were admitted and treated in NRC and given nutritious meals. During the campaign, packets of 49.63 lakh ORS packets were distributed.
