Bhopal: Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh reviewed Namami Devi Narmade campaign, Cashless system and Pradhanmantri Awas yojna arrangements through Video conferencing on Wednesday. Singh said that Namami Devi Narmade campaign is being launched with the main objective to ensure plantation on both the banks of Narmada River. Also directives for selection of plants as per the local climate and to undertake plantation work as suggested by experts of Horticulture and Forest departments were given in the video conferencing. Lauding the unique efforts taken by the district collectors to link common man with the campaign, Singh directed the officials to pay special attention towards sanitation during the campaign.

It is informed in the conference that a state wide training on Cashless transactions is being conducted on December 24 and 26 at Bhopal. Two officers from each division level related to Panchayat and Rural Development department and officers of lead banks will participate in the training programme. Training process will be conducted up to district, block and gram panchayat level. Two resource persons on Cashless system at each gram panchayat level will be developed by this process.

Main programme under the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojna will be held at Manawar of district Dhar. Villagers of neighbouring districts will also participate in the programme. Directives for live telecast of the programme were given in the conferencing. Singh also directed the officials for intensive efforts to make all the districts free of open defecation before March 31, 2017.

Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development RS Julaniya, Principal Secretary to CM and Horticulture Ashok Varnval and other Officers were present during the video conferencing.
