Bhopal: A meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today decided to given Contractual appointments of retiring government staff for Ujjain district till May 31, 2016 in view of Simhastha-2016. The cabinet decided that a committee headed by Public Relations Minister will allot government houses to journalists. Earlier, this allotment was done by Home Department. The committee will comprise ACS Home, Principal Secretary Public Relations. Commissioner Public Relations will convener of the committee. Quota for allotment of government houses is also being increased from 150 to 230.
The cabinet decided to extend term of Special Investigation Team (SIT). Accordingly, this extended contractual period will be 6 months or end of SIT’s term, whichever is earlier. The cabinet gave administrative sanction of Rs 308.56 crore to Barkhera medium irrigation project in Dhar district for Rabi irrigation in 9900 hectares, Rs 304.44 crore to Karam medium irrigation project to irrigate 8750 hectares in Rabi season, Rs 112.83 crore for construction of proposed Asan barrage project as balancing reservoir and Rs 366 crore to Sajli medium irrigation project in Damoh district to irrigate 9950 hectares in Rabi season.
The cabinet decided to create 13 posts in maternity and gynecology department of Gandhi Medical College, Indore to motivate institutional deliveries and reduction in infant and maternal mortality rate. The cabinet decided to extend term of judicial commission for enquiry into police encounter at Gwalior on August 3, 2015 upto June 30, 2016. Similarly, term of judicial commission for enquiry into firing incident at Bhind on January 6, 2012 has also been extended upto June 30, 2016.
The cabinet also decided to extend term of 21 out of 50 sanctioned posts of data entry operator in divisional and district office of Planning and Statistics Department for 2 years with effect from September 1, 2015. Sanction was granted to fill remaining 29 vacancies of data entry operator through outsourcing. Sanction was granted to create one contractual post of data entry operator in the office of Planning and Statistics Department in new district Agar Malwa for 2 years.
