Bhopal: While the allegations of horse trading against BJP on rife, Chief Minister Kamal Nath here on Tuesday laughed off the BJP’s ‘tactics’ saying he has asked his MLAs to take the money, if it gives to them for free. Replying to the media query over charges that Congress MLAs are being offered money by the BJP, Nath told, “As MLAs are telling me about money offers, I am asking them to accept the offer if they are giving it for free (Phokat me mil raha hai to le lena).”
On the fate of his government, the veteran leader said, there is nothing to worry about. After accusing BJP of approaching Congress MLAs and allies with offers upto Rs 35 crores, senior leader Digvijaya Singh followed it up on Tuesday asking whether former Home minister Bhupendra Singh took BSP MLA Rambai Singh to New Delhi in a chartered plane.
Asking Shivraj Singh Chouhan to comment on this, Singh claimed they have full faith in the BSP MLA’s loyalty. The BSP and Smajwadi Party are extending outside support to Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. Later in the day, Congress MLA Baijnath Kushwaha alleged that senior BJP leaders including Shivraj Singh Chouhan had approached him with Rs 25 cr offer.
Kushwaha met Minister Govind Singh and narrated the incident that one Pramod Sharma had met him a month ago with the offer of Rs 25 cr or ministerial post on behalf of the BJP leaders. The minister after meeting the MLA said that Digvijay Singh’s charges of horse trading are true and cautioned BJP to stop daydreaming.
Besides, AICC general secretary in charge of MP Deepak Babaria had one-one-one meeting with ministers on Tuesday.
