Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that one more wide master plan will be chalked out for water tourism in Hanuvantiya area in which Dharaji, Sailani areas including Omkareshwar will be included. He said, it will be developed as ‘Madhyadwip’. Chouhan said master plan incorporating four nodal points will be prepared. Development work will be carried including proposed aquacity in Hanuvantiya and water reservoir and Hanuvantiya will become international centre of adventure tourism.

Chouhan was addressing inaugural function of the second Jal-Mahotsava today in Hanuvantiya. Referring Hanuvantiya, Chouhan said that it is his creation and brain child. He is attached with it. Government will make its efforts utmost to bring Hanuvantiya on international map. Quoting houseboat, he said, imagination to introduce houseboat in Madhya Pradesh has materialised today.

Tourists will enjoy boating in night and stay here. The peaceful environment here makes us feel happy. Chouhan said that people should spend some time sparing from busy schedule. Place like Hanuvantiya is the best for this. Chouhan said that there should not be mechanical life and enjoy tourism with family for some time. Mentioning importance of happiness in human life, he said that the happiness derives from inner itself. Joy, zeal and happiness have special place in life. The government is making efforts for enhancing comfort and happiness in life of public in the state. Department of happiness has been constituted for that. He called upon people to enjoy and make happiness in other’s life.

Referring Hanuvantiya, Chouhan said that company like Mahindra Holiday home is becoming our partner. Entire area of Hanuvantiya and forests area will be developed through the master plan and people will get employment. Chouhan said that land value has gone up surrounding Hanuvantiya in last one year. Our effort is to increase earning and generate more employment opportunities. Tourism is the second generating the highest employment opportunities.

Chouhan said that he had seen similar water tourism spot at Sentosa in Singapore. Since then he saw dream and now it has materialised in the form of Hanuvantiya. Beauty has spread more in Hanuvantiya than Sentosa. It sprawls in 950 sq km area. He said that team of Madhya Pradesh tourism has played important role in materialising the dream. Chouhan exhorted to bring Madhya Pradesh on new heights in tourism sector.

Minister of state for tourism and culture (independent charge) Surendra Patwa said, water tourism will be developed at Gandhi Sagar, Ban Sagar, Tava and other places along with Hanuvantiya. Separate tourism cabinet has been constituted as per wishes of the chief minister and new investor-friendly tourism policy has been rolled out. Around 300 way side amenities would be developed. Fifty seven of them have already constructed. Over eight crore tourists visited the state last year and considering this, facilities for tourists are being increased. Patwa said that all would work together to make the state no one under the guidance of Chief Minister Chouhan.

Chairman State Tourism Development Corporation Tapan Bhoumik said that today will be registered in the history, when house boat is being gifted to the state. Tourists from more than 40 countries are expected to take part in Jal Mahotsav including our country. Bhoumik further mentioned that where there is a view of sea in Madhya Pradesh, it is in Hanuvantiya. Also, Hanuvantiya has crafted its place in the country and as well as abroad in one year period.

Chief Minister Chouhan and the guests inaugurated the second Jal Mahotsav lighting the lamp at the beginning. An attractive presentation of Gangore dance was presented by Nimadi folk dancers. Guests were welcomed by the Chairman Tapan Bhoumik and Secretary Tourism and M.D. Tourism Development Corporation Hariranjan Rao. Rao apprised about the important points of master plan of Hanuvantiya.

Member of board of directors of tourism development corporation Rajesh Dongre, MLA Sushri Yogita and wife of the Chief Minister Smt. Sadhana Singh were present on the occasion. Chouhan presented adventurous training certificate to 17 youths. He also released poem collection and CD of Kamar Singh Chouhan focusing Jal Mahotsav Hanuvantiya.
