Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that a new agriculture policy will be formed in the state in order to make the farmers self-reliant and for their overall development. Along with this, the place of the penance of the Chief Sant Shree Singaji of Nimad area will be developed in the form of major religious tourism hub. Nath mentioned that effective steps are being taken by the state government to make the farmers economically self-reliant and better implementation is also being ensured by taking revolutionary decisions in the interest of the farmers. Crop loans worth Rs 180.59 crore of over 45,000 farmers of Khandwa district have been waived off under the Jai Kisan Fasal Wrin Maafi Yojana.

The Chief Minister was addressing a programme in Moondi of Khanwa district of Indore division near Sant Singaji Thermal Power Plant on Sunday. He distributed citations to the farmers under the Jai Kisan Fasal Wrin Maafi Yojana and dedicated the second phase of the Singaji Power Plant. On this occasion, he also dedicated and laid foundation of various construction works.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has exhibited its public welfare policies and intentions during the last 65 days. The state government is working with commitment for the welfare of each citizen of the state. Dedicated efforts are being made to fulfill each promise of the manifesto. Works are being done constantly to meet the aspirations and trust of the people.

The state government has taken several historic decisions and implementation on them is being ensured. In order to improve the living standard of the farmers, works are being carried out constantly to make them economically self-reliant and for their overall development. Efforts are being made to make the farmers free from the debt. Farmers’ loan upto Rs 2 lakh has been waived off in the entire state.

Nath further stated that we want to see happiness on the face of the farmers of the state. A new revolution will be ensured in the agriculture sector and the new agriculture policy will be formed in this regard. Paying obeisance to Sant Singaji, he said that the place of his penance will be developed in the form of major religious tourism hub. Positive use of youth power of the state will be made. Employment opportunities will be made available to them and industrial investment will be encouraged to achieve this goal. The state government will make concrete efforts to realize trust of each citizen of the state, he added.

Minister for Public Health and family welfare Tulsiram Silawat said that several decisions have been taken by the state government for the welfare of the farmers and implementation on them is being ensured. The Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Sachin Yadav stated that there is no dissimilarity in the statement and practice of the government and works are being carried out to fulfill each promise of the manifesto.
