Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath has asked the concerning authorities to prepare a tripartite MoU for the Metro project of Bhopal and Indore and implement it the earliest. He asked them to take up a time-bound program so that the project work gains momentum. The Chief Minister was reviewing the progress of the Metro project at Mantralaya here on Tuesday. The Minister for Urban Development Jayvardhan Singh was present.

The Chief Minister said that issues concerning the land acquisition parking and residential areas must be addressed during the construction of the Metro project. He said that it should also include information about the financial burden on the government.

Nath said that timelines for construction work of different stages should be fixed and construction works should be completed within the decided time limit. The Chief Minister has instructed to prepare a report on underground and elevated sections of the project.

The Chief Minister asked the officers to complete all the formalities for seeking loans from the Asian Development Bank and New Development Bank for Indore Metro Project and from the European Investment Bank for Bhopal Metro Project. He said that all measures should be taken to ensure that the people do not face any inconvenience during the construction and traffic remains undisturbed.
