Bhopal: Expressing grave concern over the quality of school education, the Chief Minister Kamal Nath directed to make every possible effort to bring improvement in the system. He said that no compromise will be tolerated with the children’s future. Nath was reviewing the quality of school education at CM House on Tuesday. The Minister for School Education Prabhuram Chowdhary and Chief Secretary SR Mohanty were present at the meeting.
Nath said that it is most important today that primary, secondary and high school education should be excellent. He said that there is a need to make the quality of education better in Madhya Pradesh. It is an issue connected with the future of the children of our State. Any compromise in this is like an injustice to the children.
Expressing concern over the increase in the number of school dropout children, Kamal Nath directed that it should be curbed. He further mentioned that effective monitoring system should be developed at the district level to motivate dropout children to continue their studies. Accountability should also be fixed in this regard, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the arrangement for better training of the teachers should be made so that they can educate the children according to the present and future’s needs. He said that the work to bring improvement in education should be taken up as a mission. The Chief Minister directed that an action plan should be made and presented as regard to the steps, whatever to be taken to improve the entire school education system of the state.
Principal Secretary School Education Rashmi Arun Shami, Commissioner Public Instruction Jaishree Kiyawat and concerned officials were present at the meeting.
