Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gifted Rs 372.08 crore development works to Bundelkhand and announced to make Shahpur Tappa Tahasil. He was concluding the Rahas Mela at Garha Kota in Sagar district today. About 9,400 hectares will be irrigated through medium irrigation projects. All roads connecting with Garha Kota will be upgraded. CM sanctioned of Rs 10 crore was given for houses of the poor living in Garha Kota, Rs one crore for construction of bus stand and Rs 50 lakh for construction of bus stand of Shahpur. He said that a roadmap for development of Bundelkhand will be chalked out. No one would remain poor in Bundelkhand.
Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government is going to implement ‘Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan’ in the state from Mhow on April 14. During the campaign, development works will be undertaken in every village and lists of beneficiaries will be read out at village panchayats. If any eligible beneficiary is left out, his name will be included within one and half months. Madhya Pradesh Government is going to constitute Happiness Ministry. Under it, schemes will be chalked out for bliss and happiness of people. Facilities will be made available to farmers for floriculture, horticulture, farming of medicinal plants, animal husbandry, dairy and poultry farming to make agriculture profitable. Chouhan said that farmers’ income will double up in next five years. The Chief Minister handed over authority letters for disbursal of pension through PDS shops to beneficiaries of Rehli and Garha Kota areas who are incapable to reach banks.
Chouhan announced to set up a new Dairy Federation at Sagar. He said that Madhya Pradesh government is providing wheat and rice at Re. one per kg to 5 crore out of 7.5 crore people of the state. Along with SC, ST and minorities, scholarships will also be given to students belonging to poor families of general category.
Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargava said that the area is benefiting from public welfare schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Due to this, Bundelkhand is touching heights of development. The programme was conducted by Rahas Mela’s Coordinator Abhishek Bhargava.
