Bhopal: Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh reviewed the arrangements of Republic day Celebration Programme. Singh gave directives to the School Education and Finance departments to increase the amount of Rs 4 lakh paid for refreshment etc. for children in the meeting. Besides, directives to hold mini marathon with cooperation of NCC and Nehru Youth Center on the occasion of Republic day were given. Chief Secretary Singh directed the Secretary School Education to hold painting competitions in schools. The painting competitions will be held focusing subject Namami Devi Narmade.
Singh told the Secretary Culture department to select interesting subjects for cultural programmes. School Education and Tribal Welfare departments will also cooperate in this activity. Principal Secretary General Administration Department Seema Sharma informed that coordination and complete inspection of parade will be undertaken on January 24. Government buildings will be illuminated and Bharat Parva will be celebrated like every year. Also Freedom Fighters and families of Kargil Martyrs will be honourably invited.
