Bhopal: Chief Secretary Anthony DeSa has said that state-wide campaign will be launched to link cent percent population in the state with Aadhar registration. Chief Secretary was reviewing progress of Aadhar registration here on Friday. The Chief Secretary said that process is underway to link Aadhar registration number with all public welfare schemes. The Chief Secretary directed that resources should be made available at all Panchayat Secretary levels to provide information about their Aadhar registration numbers to people easily. DeSa instructed that mention of Aadhar registration number must be made mandatory in application forms for all examinations held by the State Public Service Commission and Professional Examination Board.

The meeting was informed that 99 per cent people above 18 years of age have been linked to Aadhar registration numbers, but a large number of people do not have information about their Aadhar numbers.

The meeting was informed that more than 80 per cent population of the state’s 43 districts has been linked to Aadhar registration numbers. Special campaign would be conducted in districts with low enrollment including Shivpuri, Vidisha, Sheopur, Morena, Ashok Nagar, Datia and Bhind. Camps will be held in Anganwadis and schools. The meeting also discussed progress made towards linking Aadhar registration numbers with Samagra.

Additional Chief Secretary Forests Deepak Khandekar and officers of Panchayats and Rural Development, Women and Child Development, Health and School Education departments and Madhya Pradesh Council for Science and Technology attended the meeting.
