Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that programmes focusing public welfare commitment should be organized during the Jan Kalyan ke 11 Varsh campaign. Efforts being undertaken for development and public welfare should be presented in different form to apprise people and to encourage them to avail benefits. Chouhan was reviewing the structure of the Campaign at Mantralaya today. Cabinet Members, Chief Secretary BP Singh and Principal Secretaries of the concerned departments and Head of the department were present on the occasion.

Chouhan mentioned that Poor Welfare Day programme should be organised in new form being held during the campaign. Besides highlighting the governments commitment for the welfare of poor, necessary information should be publicise so can poor avail benefits of government schemes. Direct dialogues with the benefited beneficiaries should be established and eligibility and procedure for schemes should be presented in an attractive and simple manner. Efforts should be made to hold beneficiaries training to derive benefit from poor welfare schemes in the participants convention itself. Participants must not only be ready to avail benefit of the welfare schemes but becomes competent to encourage others to avail benefits.

Moreover, Chouhan said that beside main programmes, functions should be organized widely at district level too. Through folk arts, people should be apprised about the commitment of the government towards their welfare and benefits of the schemes. He further mentioned that during the campaign, foundation stone laying and dedication programmes of construction works under various schemes should be carried out at wide level. Ministers in charge should tour their respective districts at least for two or three days in a week. Surprise inspection should also be conducted. Also direct broadcast of division wise theme based main programmes at other districts should be arranged.

It is informed in the meeting that the training programme to derive benefit from public welfare schemes and foundation laying and dedication of development works are the main components of the campaign. The Chief Minister and Minister will conduct surprise inspections to review the ground realities of the schemes. Division wise conventions of various category groups and Nagroday campaign will be held during this period.

Division wise conventions of various category groups will be organized with an objective to collect information relating to their problems and to undertake works for their betterment. Youth Convention at Rewa will be held on December 7. Similarly, Labourers convention at Sagar on December 8, Convention for Nomads at Dewas on December 12, Women Empowerment at Morena on 15, ST convention at Badwah on 21, Forest committees convention at Chhindwara on 23 and convention of self help groups at Mandla on December 26 will be held. Further Farmers convention will be held at Ujjain.

Nagroday Campaign will be held from December 26 to January 2, 2017. This campaign will be organized in two phases. First phase will be held from December 26 to January 3, 2017. Information on ground realities of the beneficiaries oriented schemes will be obtained in this. Beside survey of Swachchata Abhiyan and sanitation, the union and state governments schemes will be publicized. Second phase will be held from January 10 to January 26, 2017. In this phase, programmes to benefit the beneficiaries by the public representatives will be organized. Also, programmes to get apprised about the ground realities of CM Helpline and Lok Seva Guarantee Act will be held.
