Bhopal: The State Cabinet on Thursday gave approval, to run the Centre’s sponsored ‘Safe City’ programme from the Nirbhaya Fund during the period from 2019-20 till 2021-22 in 6 cities of Madhya Pradesh under the Women and Child Development Department. This includes Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Chhindwara, Chattarpur and Jabalpur. The main objective of the programme is to provide safe environment for girls and women in cities so that they could lead their life free of the fear of any kind of violence. An expenditure of Rs 5 crore rupees was sanctioned for the programme.
Under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, the Cabinet has decided to start the Rajya Prarambhik Gramin Udhmita programme in 6 tribal blocks of the State as a pilot project for high level minor entrepreneurship development of the Self Help Groups formed under the State Rural Livelihood Mission. The six blocks include Udaigarh and Jobat in District Alirajpur, Dhari and Kukshi in District Dhar and Jhabua and Ranapur in District Jhabua. Under the programme, an amount at the rate of Rs 25,000 per self help group will be provided for entrepreneurship development.
The cabinet has decided to increase the honorarium of guest teachers employed in the schools of the Tribal Welfare Department by about two folds. The monthly honorarium of category 1 guest teachers has been increased from Rs 4500 to maximum monthly honorarium of Rs 9,000. Similarly, the honorarium of category 2 from Rs. 3500 to Rs 7,000 and category 3 from Rs 2500 to Rs 5000 maximum monthly honorarium has been increased. 2802 guest teachers of category 1, 6993 of category 2 and 11,738 of category 3, totaling 21,533 teachers will get benefit of the increase.
The rates of this honorarium will be payable from July 01, 2019. In compliance to the announcement of the Chief Minister Kamal Nath, the Cabinet has approved Rs 146 crore 96 lakh 67 thousand rupees for setting up of agricultural college in Chhindwada district. Approval was given by the cabinet for creation of posts to impart education to 60 students in the academic session 2020-21. Fifty hectare land has been identified by the Chhindwara Collector for the proposed infrastructure of the college.
The Cabinet has given approval for continuation of the Dial 100 service operational from November 01, 2015 in the state and expansion and upgradation of the project of centralized police call centre and control room system.
The Cabinet has approved the continuation of 4 posts of the Medico Legal Institute from the period March 01, 2018 to February 28, 2023.
